A "farm-to-fork" restaurant that opened this year has been recognised by Michelin, four months after it opened.

Sow opened in May near Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, on the site of the former award-winning restaurant, Pensons, which closed in 2022 citing financial difficulties.

The new restaurant on the 1,200-acre Netherwood Estate has been listed in the latest edition of The Michelin Guide.

It focuses on serving ingredients grown on the estate and is owned and run by the Open Restaurant Group (ORG).

Executive chef Andrew Sheridan said the listing, just four months after opening, was testament to the hard work of head chef Curtis Winstone and his team.

The Michelin Guide, external encourages visitors to look around the garden before they go to eat at the restaurant, because much of the produce there will end up on their plate.

Mr Sheridan said the Michelin listing was "just the start", adding: "We believe the best is yet to come."

ORG is owned by Mr Sheridan and his business partners Sam and Emma Morgan.

The independent hospitality group runs seven other restaurants around the country, including Black & Green and Cofton on the Green, both in Barnt Green, and The Bracebridge in Sutton Coldfield.
