Disruption warning due to emergency repairs on A5

Motorists have been warned of delays after emergency repairs were carried out on a broken sewer pipe on a main road in Hinckley.
Engineers carried out work on the A5 Watling Street on Monday, with temporary traffic lights installed to allow them to operate safely.
Severn Trent Water apologised for any inconvenience caused but said it was important workers and other road users remained safe.
Roadworks disruption is expected until Wednesday.
The work in Watling Street is close to the Dodwells and Longshoot junctions on the A5.
A spokesperson for Severn Trent Water said: "We know this is a busy, well-used road, so we're really sorry for any disruption."
"We're asking people to please allow extra time for any journeys in the area over the next few days, just in case of delays."
"Our engineers are working as quickly as possible to complete the repairs and reopen the road fully."
A National Highways spokesperson said: "In an emergency situation utility companies can act under delegated powers to deal with the situation swiftly without awaiting the relevant permissions from us."
"We understand these are emergency sewer pipe repairs on the A5 and the temporary lights installed to ensure the safety of workers and road users."
