Motorway closed after serious crash

Part of the M5 has been closed due to a serious crash.

According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the closure is in place northbound between J14 for Thornbury and J13 for Stroud after vehicle left the carriageway at around 05:40 GMT.

Drivers are being diverted along the A38 from Falfield to Whitminster.

National Highways said emergency services were on the scene and warned motorists travelling in the area to allow extra time for their journeys.
