Man denies murder after sports club death

Tributes to Mr Wallendorf were left at Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club

A man has denied murder after another man died following an incident outside a sports club.
Oscar Jackson, 21, of Wilshere Crescent in Hitchin, entered two not-guilty pleas for one charge of murder and another for manslaughter at Peterborough Crown Court on 8 August.
Hertfordshire Police said Grant Wallendorf died in hospital following an assault outside Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club, near Hitchin, at about 22:30 BST on 16 June.
A trial date has been set for 18 November and Mr Jackson remains on bail.
