A cyclist has been seriously injured following a collision involving two vehicles.

The emergency services were called to Brock Hill, near Wickford, Essex, at about 08:10 BST on Tuesday.

Police said the cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and he was airlifted to hospital.

The road was closed for eight hours following the crash. Officers have been appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
