Teenager in hospital after seafront stabbing

A teenager has been hospitalised with suspected stab wounds after being assaulted on a popular stretch of seafront.
The incident in the Pier Approach area of Bournemouth took place at 21:39 BST on Tuesday evening.
A 21-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
Officers from Dorset Police were on scene within moments of the attack occurring due to enhanced patrols along the seafront, the force said.
The injuries sustained by the victim are not believed to be life-threating.
Dorset Police said the extra patrols in the area would continue throughout the busy summer period as planned.
It added in a statement that their would be a increased presence within the vicinity of Tuesday's attack while it's investigation into the incident was carried out.
The force also said it wished to "make it clear to those coming down to visit our coastline" that any "disorderly behaviour" would not be tolerated.
Tuesday's incident took place near Durley Chine Beach - where another knife attack earlier this year left one woman dead and another seriously injured.
