Footballer Billy Wright's cap set for auction

An international cap that belonged to footballer Billy Wright is set to be auctioned.
Wright was awarded the cap for his seventh England appearance when the team played against Switzerland in 1947.
The three lion badge is embroidered onto the blue velvet cap along with the Football Association's inscription.
It has an estimated value of £3,500 and will be auctioned by Graham Budd Auctions in Northamptonshire, on 5 March.
"This is a great opportunity for a football fan to own a part of his incredible legacy," said David Convery, from the auctioneers.
Wright was born in Ironbridge, Shropshire, in 1924 and spent more than 20 years at Wolverhampton Wanderers, external.
Wright won 105 international caps and only missed three England games in 13 seasons after World War Two.
He became the first footballer in the world to play in 100 full internationals in 1959.
He died 1994 at the age of 70, and Wolverhampton came to a standstill for his funeral as fans paid their respects.
