Coldplay will perform at Craven Park Stadium on 18 and 19 August

The countdown is almost over for lucky Coldplay fans who secured tickets to one of the two Hull concerts.

The UK shows are part of the band's European leg on their Music of the Spheres World Tour, which started in 2022.

Coldplay will take to the stage at Craven Park Stadium – the tour's second-to-last stop – on 18 and 19 August, before finishing with the final 10 concerts at Wembley.

Here's everything you need to know before the shows kick off.

Have the Hull concerts sold out?

Yes – tickets for Coldplay's Hull and Wembley Stadium shows are completely sold out.

Ticketmaster, Gigsandtours, See Tickets and AXS are the only official ticket sites for the events.

The band has warned that other sites claiming to sell newly-released tickets for the shows are likely to be fake.

How to get to Craven Park

The stadium's website warns that parking will be limited and nearby roads will be closed, and it advises making alternative travel arrangements.

Car parks

The only car park that is not sold out is Car Park S, located at St Richard's VC Academy.

It is a 12-minute walk to the stadium and will cost a minimum of £25. Tickets can be bought on the Craven Park website.

It will be open from 16:00 BST and will close at midnight. Vehicles will not be allowed to leave the car park until 45 minutes after the concert has finished.

Train

Hull Paragon Interchange is the main railway station in the city, located about three miles (about 5km) from the stadium.

A taxi would usually take around 15 minutes, or fans can get buses which run regularly from the station's terminal.

Bus

Route 3 runs from the city centre and stops close to Craven Park.

Routes 75, 76, and 78 also pass through stops along Holderness Road near the stadium.

Shuttle bus

Stagecoach East Midlands is running a shuttle service called Yellow between Hull Interchange and Preston Road for Craven Park.

Coldplay day tickets can be bought on the Stagecoach app and will cost £9.

The shuttle service will operate at frequent intervals between 15:00 and 19:00 BST.

From 22:00 BST, the same service will take people back to the city centre after the event.

Park and ride

Stagecoach is managing a park and ride with shuttle services from Priory Park, Henry Boot Way, near Hessle.

Tickets cost £20 and buses will depart between 15:00 and 19:00 BST, at least every 10 minutes. Return journeys will be from 22:00 BST.

Cycling

When Coldplay announced their tour in 2021, they said they wanted to cut their carbon footprint by 50%, and used measures including a power-generating dancefloor.

So there will be 250 free bicycle parking spaces available at Soccer Sensations.

Some roads around Craven Park will be closed on the days of the concerts

Will there be road closures?

The following roads will be shut from 18 August until 20 August:

  • Annandale Road from Preston Road to Falkland Road

  • Marfleet Lane from Acasta Way to No 102 Marfleet Lane

  • Poorhouse Lane

  • Preston Road from the Aldi store to Stockbridge Avenue

  • Wansford Grove at the junction of Marfleet Lane

What time does it start and finish?

The fan village at Craven Park will open at 16:00 BST and the festivities are expected to begin at 17:00 BST on both days.

No end time has been confirmed yet.

But during previous shows, the band have been taking to the stage between 20:30 and 21:00 BST and have been playing about 20 songs in a two-hour set.

Who are the support acts?

Chiedu Oraka at Glastonbury in 2024

Joining Coldplay in Hull will be local artist Chiedu Oraka and Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr.

Hull-born rapper Oraka performed at last year's Glastonbury festival and has recorded many sessions for national and local BBC radio stations.

Starr also performed at Glastonbury last year and was the first woman to win best African music act at the Mobo Awards in 16 years.

The Rush singer has previously collaborated with the likes of Wizkid, Giveon, Kelly Rowland and former Little Mix band member Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

The Wembley gigs will see Starr, Beabadoobee, Tems, Elyanna, Chloe Qisha and Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela support the band on different nights across the week.

Where else are Coldplay playing?

The Music Of The Spheres launched in March 2022 and has gone on to become the most-attended tour in history.

The band began the 2025 stint of their Spheres World Tour in Asia and North America, but will end in Hull and Wembley.

After their dates at Craven Park Stadium, Coldplay's Wembley Stadium dates are on 22, 23, 26, 27, 30 and 31 August and 3, 4, 7 and 8 September.
