A fire has broken out at a former nightclub building in Leeds.

Emergency services were called to the disused building - formerly known as Stinky's Peephouse - on Brick Street just after 07:00 BST.

No-one was injured in the fire, but the area has been cordoned off and police are advising people to avoid the area.

Network Rail said due to its proximity to the railway line the fire had caused some disruption to trains running in and out of Leeds, but that services were back to normal.

West Yorkshire Police said an investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.

Stinky’s Peephouse, on the corner between York Street and Brick Street, was a popular dance music venue but closed in the mid-2010s.
