Child, 8, seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash

An eight-year-old has suffered serious injuries in a multi-vehicle crash.
Two vans and a grey BMW were involved in the crash in Hoe Benham, West Berkshire, on the B4000 near the junction with High Street at about 16.30 BST on Saturday.
The child suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where they remain, Thames Valley Police said.
A 34-year-old man from Bristol was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drug-driving, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance.
PC Martin Danks said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this collision to please come forward."
The man who was held has been released on police bail until 26 September.
