A new play attraction which is a miniature recreation of the town its located in has opened.

Little Town Adventures' play experience, situated on Weston-super-Mare's seafront, features local landmarks, including the Grand Pier and the town hall.

Other buildings include the police station, fire station, supermarkets and a café and it is aimed at children aged between two and eight.

“The combination of role play, theatre, and escape room-style activities enhances cognitive development, social skills, and creativity, making it an exciting, truly holistic and educational adventure for children,” the creators said.

Actors, music and immersive effects bring the miniature town to life, where children are tasked with helping the deputy mayor solve a series of different challenges.

Tom and Laura Filer founded the Family Adventures Group in 2019 after noticing a "significant gap" in the market.

The couple said they had their own negative experiences visiting soft play centres with their young family.

Since founding the business, they have gone on to operate soft play venues across the South West and the Midlands, including Ocean Adventures in Cheddar and Space Adventures in Taunton.
