Man charged with attempted murder over shooting

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in a Lincolnshire village.

A man in his 30s was injured in the leg after a shotgun had been fired in Little Steeping, near Spilsby, on Saturday, police said.

Michael Watling, 37, of Guard House Avenue, Keighley, appeared before Lincoln magistrates on Tuesday and was remanded into custody.

He is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 25 June.

A 33-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail.

Lincolnshire Police said its investigation was ongoing.
