Motorbike passenger killed in crash

A motorbike passenger has been killed in a crash.

A Kawasaki bike and a grey Audi A3 collided on the A684 junction with the M6, near Kendal and Sedbergh, at about 14:40 BST on Sunday.

The passenger died at the scene. The rider was airlifted to hospital where he is in a critical condition, Cumbria Police said.

The occupants of the Audi were taken to hospital for checks.

The road was closed while a forensic collision investigation was carried out.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
