Rabbi in court denies sexually assaulting woman

A rabbi from north London has appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to charges of sexually assaulting a woman.

Aaron Halpern, also known as Chaim Halpern, 65, of Golders Green, is charged with two counts of sexual assault on a woman between 1 June and 31 July 2022.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges at Hendon Magistrates' Court.

A trial date is set to be fixed at the next hearing on 4 June.

Mr Halpern was arrested in March 2023.
