A man has been convicted of causing death by careless driving following a fatal road crash in Glen Coe two years ago.

Enrique Maffiote, from Tenerife, was found guilty of causing the collision by jury at a trial in Inverness Sheriff Court.

Biker Ross Dominick, from Johnstone, died in the crash at Buachaille Etive Beag car park on 23 July 2023.

Maffiote, who was driving a car, was fined £1,875 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Following the sentencing, Sgt Chris Donaldson, of Police Scotland, said: "Our thoughts and condolences are still very much with Ross James Dominick's family and friends following the conviction of Enrique Maffiote."
