Three of seven puppies stolen at the weekend have been found but police are "desperately" trying to find the other four.

The lurchers were taken from a family in the Shroton area, near Blandford Forum, Dorset, between 22:50 and 23:10 GMT on Saturday.

A 28-year-old man from east Dorset and a woman, 22, from Wimborne, previously arrested on suspicion of burglary have been bailed.

The puppies are five weeks old and are said to still be reliant on their mother to feed and survive.

"Whilst the family is overjoyed to have three of the puppies home we are desperately trying to locate the other four," PC Sebastian Haggett, of Dorset Police, said.

"Due to the large public attention on this matter, it may be that these puppies are discarded, and we ask the public to remain vigilant and get in contact with any possible information."
