Man charged over attack on seals at harbour

A man has been charged over an alleged attack on two seals at a harbour in East Lothian.
The 61-year-old was reported to the procurator fiscal following the incident near Victoria Road in North Berwick last Thursday afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said the man had not been arrested but had been charged.
They added that “partner agencies” had been contacted about the animals’ welfare and advised dog walkers to “exercise caution” when visiting beaches in the region during the winter months.
