Pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run

Police are searching for the driver of a small red car after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Fife.
Police attended the scene on Winifred Street at the Hendry Road junction in Kirkcaldy at about 17:50 on Wednesday.
A 54-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are appealing for information to trace the driver of the car who left the scene before police arrived.
Sgt Tom Aitken said: “Our inquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information which could assist to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in this area around the time and who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV that may help to get in touch, external.”
