Cafe to rename breakfast after Luke Littler visit

A cafe says it will rename a breakfast in honour of teenage darts sensation Luke Littler after he visited for the most important meal of the day.
The 17-year-old sat down for breakfast at Truffles in Ironbridge, Shropshire, on Saturday morning.
The next day he went on to win the Grand Slam of Darts with a 16-3 thrashing of Martin Lukeman in Wolverhampton.
Owner Jenny Barratt told BBC Radio Shropshire her tasty meal could have been the fuel that sparked his success.
Much to the surprise of staff, the takeaway-loving youngster did not opt for a full breakfast.
Instead, he ordered beans on toast with added scrambled egg, a dish that could now be renamed "The Luke Littler".
She said: "Nobody recognised him until one of our staff members who works in the kitchen came out and said, 'Luke Littler's just come in!'".
It was at that moment, the cafe boss explained, that the Truffles WhatsApp group chat burst into life.
Littler is currently enjoying a meteoric rise, winning £900,000 in prize money in 2024, his maiden professional year.
Ms Barratt said he walked in with "beefy" security guards but described him as a "nice guy" who was "down to earth".
"Some of our staff members were able to get a couple of photos," she said.
"He wanted no trouble at all. We kept it off Facebook for a bit so he was able to just have his breakfast in peace.
"[We're] quite honoured, really, because there's a few cafes up and down here [and] they chose us."
