A 16-year-old boy has died following a motorcycle crash in Nottinghamshire.

Police said the teenager was taken to hospital following the crash in Besthorpe Road, Collingham, near Newark, at about 11:25 GMT on Saturday and died the following day.

No other vehicles were involved but Nottinghamshire Police has appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Det Con Liah Lane said: "We believe a number of passing motorists could be able to help with our inquiries into this incident and I'd urge them to come forward without delay."
