Man charged over alleged threat to airport

Flights were briefly grounded at Kirkwall Airport on Saturday morning

A man has been charged over an alleged threat to an airport which led to flights being briefly grounded.
Kirkwall Airport in Orkney suspended operations on Saturday morning following a report of a "threatening communication".
Emergency crews attended the terminal, but it was later deemed the threat was not credible.
A 20-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is scheduled to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
