A fight between two groups of men in Gloucester led to one being stabbed in the leg, police have said.

Gloucestershire Police said officers were called to the altercation in Cecil Road at about 02.14 BST on Monday.

One of the males, believed to be riding an electric bicycle, smashed a window of a car and stabbed one of the men in the leg with a knife, the force said.

The victim was treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and his injury is not believed to be serious.

The force is urging for anyone with information or who has doorbell footage to contact them.

It added that house-to-house enquiries are being made and CCTV footage is being studied.
