Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the M25.
The incident was reported to Kent Police just before 12:30 BST on Thursday, with the motorway then blocked in both directions between junctions five (Sevenoaks), and six (Godstone) until the early hours of Friday.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, died at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.
A lorry driver, who police said "may not have been aware of the severity of the collision" and had left the scene, has been found and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
A blue Suzuki motorcycle, a silver Toyota Corolla and a lorry were involved in the crash, Kent Police said.
It happened on the clockwise carriageway between junction 5 for the A21 and M26, and the Clacket Lane Services before junction 6.
Officers from the force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
Motorists with dashcam devices are being asked to check for footage which could assist the investigation, including of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the crash.
Members of the public can contact the unit on 01622 798538, quoting reference HW/DC/100/24, or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
