Two women die and man seriously injured in car crash

Two women have died and a man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving two cars.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to New Road, Ludlow, in Shropshire, at 21:37 BST on Monday and found the two women in a critical condition.
One was the driver of one of the cars, and the other was a passenger in the second. They both died at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics.
The man, who was the driver of the second car, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries.
