A man has been arrested following a crash in Guernsey after a vehicle was spotted driving "recklessly", police said.

Guernsey Police said on Facebook, external it was called to Rue Des Deslisles in Castel during the early hours of Sunday following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

The post said: "Initial reports indicated the vehicle had been driving recklessly and the occupants had left the scene immediately following the collision."

Police added a man was in custody and inquiries continued with anyone with information about the crash asked to contact the force or Crimestoppers.
