Four men have been charged with violent disorder after clashes in Stoke-on-Trent amid a wave of unrest in the UK.
Dominic Cartwright, 34, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, was also charged with obstructing or resisting a constable in execution of their duty.
Also charged with violent disorder were Matthew Hodgekinson, 33, and Daniel Bagguley, 31, both of Newcastle-under-Lyme; and Aaron Dring, 26, of Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent.
A 17-year-old boy from Stoke-on-Trent was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place and assault occasioning actual body harm, said Staffordshire Police.
The five were arrested after disorder in Hanley on 3 August.
Mr Bagguley is due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 13 September and Mr Hodgekinson on the 19 September.
Mr Cartwright and Mr Dring will appear at the same court on 20 September.
All four were remanded into custody ahead of their court appearances.
Police said the 17-year-old was released on conditional bail to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre in October.
The force said officers had now arrested 73 people and charged 30 over disorder in Stoke-on-Trent on 3 August and in Tamworth the following day.
Riots and anti-immigration protests took place in the UK at the start of August.
The unrest followed the fatal stabbings of three girls in Southport in July and was fuelled by false online rumours online that the suspect in the killings was an asylum seeker.
