A cycling enthusiast is riding a 90-year-old bicycle back to the address of its original owner - in France.
Steve Groves, from Polegate in East Sussex, started his 420-mile challenge on Friday from Dartford, in Kent, to Nantes, in south-west France.
He found the bicycle, a 1936 French Randonneur, at a boot fair and decided to restore it.
His epic challenge is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of his friend Steve Finan.
Mr Groves said: "During WW2, the occupying forces made the French put a tag on their bikes so they knew who was riding the bike and could match the papers of people who were riding at their checkpoints.
"I decided it was a good idea to ride it back to its original address. I have done some research and people with the same surname Deschamps are living at the address. I'm going to surprise them."

Mr Groves is beginning his journey from Dartford as his friend, Mr Finan, was from there. He will then cycle to Newhaven where he will catch the ferry to Dieppe.
He restored and got the bike's original chrome paint job restored for around £2,000.
"We're doing it unsupported. I'm carrying my tent, clothes, sleeping bag and food all on the bike," said Mr Groves.
"I think the biggest challenge will be finding somewhere to sleep, and climbing all the hills on a bike with very few gears.
"My friend Steve Finan passed away from pancreatic cancer, so I'm riding for Steve."
Mr Groves has already raised more than £2,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK and hopes to finish his challenge late next week.
