A village supermarket in Nottinghamshire has been badly damaged by thieves taking a cash machine.
Police said it was called to reports of a digger being used to remove the machine from the Co-op store in Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop, at about 02:10 BST on Friday.
A telehandler was found abandoned in the car park and the cash machine was located with a quantity of cash missing, officers said.
The store is currently closed and it is not known when it will be able to reopen.

Police are studying CCTV footage and have appealed for witnesses.
A cordon remains in place while investigation work is carried out.
Shoppers unable to enter the store expressed their shock at the damage.
Jackie Passey said: "It's devastating for people in the village. There are lots of elderly people and the bus routes aren't too bad, but it's not great and they rely on the Co-op for everything. It's really shocking."
Malcolm Ranscombe said: "It's extremely annoying and quite upsetting, because of what it will cause for people."

Jackie Passey said it was an "awful" thing to happen
