Biker killed and two women hurt in Aberdeenshire crash

A biker has died and and two women have been injured in a collision in Aberdeenshire.
The 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which happened at about 16:00 on Sunday on the A97 near Alford.
The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman, and her passenger, a woman aged 56, were treated for minor injuries.
The road was closed for more than 10 hours as collision investigators examined the scene between Kildrummy and Glenkindie.
Police have appealed for information from witnesses to the crash, which involved a white Volkswagen Touareg and a blue Honda CBR bike.
Sgt Sarah Ritchie thanked members of the public who stopped to help at the scene before the emergency services arrived.
"We are continuing to carry out inquiries and I would like to appeal to anyone who has not already spoken to us and may have witnessed the crash, or the vehicles involved shortly before the incident, to please contact us," she added.
"In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch, external as this may be able to assist our investigation."
