A motorcyclist has been killed in a three-vehicle crash, leading to a teenager's arrest on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

It happened on Thursday at about 21:30 BST on the A449 close to Chances Pitch and Colwall on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border.

The rider, a woman in her 50s, was travelling on a black Kawasaki motorbike towards Ledbury when the crash occurred. The two other vehicles involved, travelling in the direction of Malvern, were a Silver VW Golf and a black Skoda -their drivers were not injured.

The arrested 19-year-old is in custody while inquires continue, police say.

The West Mercia force said it was keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or may have seen any of the vehicles prior to it.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage," a spokesperson said.
