A car windscreen was smashed when it was hit by a rock thrown from a bridge over the A42 in Leicestershire, police have said.

The missile damaged the car on the A42 at Oakthorpe, near Measham, the force added.

On Sunday, officers warned the act could have caused serious injury or loss of life and appealed for information.

Detectives would like dashcam footage taken in the area at about 15:30 BST on Wednesday
