New accommodation for actors treading the theatre boards could be created in Bradford city centre.
A planning application to convert a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) on Lansdowne Place, off Morley Street, into temporary accommodation for up to seven people has been submitted to Bradford Council.
The proposal has been put forward by a company called The Actors' House Ltd.
The plans say the refurbished property will "provide short-term accommodation for actors performing at the nearby Alhambra Theatre".
The building has been shops and a tattoo parlour before it was turned into an HMO, the application said, but was originally built as a "high-status residential dwelling".
Seven en-suite rooms would be created in the building under the plans, with a communal kitchen and living space.
The application added: "The proposed change of use to short-term hotel lets for actors performing at the Alhambra Theatre represents a positive and sustainable development.
"It will contribute positively to the local economy and cultural vibrancy of Bradford, providing much-needed bespoke accommodation for visitors to the Alhambra Theatre."
A decision on the application is expected later this month, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.
