A man has been arrested after a crash between a cyclist and a car left a man with serious injuries.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash took place on Goonown Road, between Sevenmilestone and Goonbell, near St Agnes, at about 18:15 BST on Wednesday.
It involved a bicycle and a dark coloured vehicle that left the scene, police said.
The force said a 28-year-old man from the Truro area was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and other motoring offences. He remains in police custody.
Police said a male cyclist was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance with "potentially life-changing injuries" following the crash.
The force said they recovered a black Mercedes coupe they believe was involved.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash was urged to contact the force.
