Man arrested after pedestrian hit by car

A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Leicester.
Police were called to Victoria Park Road, between the Welford Road and London Road junction, just after 00:15 BST on Monday.
The pedestrian - a man in his 30s - was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, said Leicestershire Police.
A 32-year-old man was detained on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation, the force added
The road was closed for several hours while police inquiries took place and reopened at about 10:00.
