Surrey Police has appealed for witnesses

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a white van in Haxted, according to Surrey Police.

The force said it was called to Haxted Road, a short distance east of the junction with Dwelly Lane, shortly after 14:10 GMT on Saturday.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, remains in a serious condition, it said.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to get in touch.
