Three people have been arrested after a police chase in which a car was driven the wrong way down a major road before it hit a wall.

A Range Rover Evoque, which police suspected was stolen, failed to stop for officers in Sheffield at around 21:00 GMT on Saturday.

The car was driven the wrong way down Bochum Parkway before it entered the Graves Health Centre car park and hit a wall, with the occupants fleeing.

Suspects aged 21, 19 and 16 were arrested a short time later on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, South Yorkshire Police said.

The force said officers suspected the car had been reported stolen from Rotherham on the night of 24 January.

The suspects remain in custody.
