'Despicable' child sex offender jailed

A man who sexually groomed and assaulted two young children has been jailed for eight years six months.
Steven Westlake, from Bolton, admitting three counts of sexual assault and two breaches of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) in Preston.
Det Con Chris Mills, of the Lancashire Police child protection team, said: "Despite their young age, Westlake's victims have been incredibly brave throughout this process."
The 43-year-old was given an indefinite SHPO when he was sentenced at Preston Crown Court.
Det Con Mills added: "Westlake assaulted children for his own, abhorrent sexual desires.
"With the support of the victims, Westlake's crimes were brought to our attention, and we have been able to bring him to justice.
"He is a despicable man, and I welcome the custodial sentence handed down on him this week."
Westlake, of Chorley Old Road, also used the surname Clayton, the court heard.
