Police in Blackpool have praised the public after a tip-off led to drugs being seized.

Drugs, scales, phones and cash were recovered in a raid on Tyne Avenue after a property was flagged to police "following community intelligence and a spike in drug-related incidents and crimes in the area".

Two people were arrested on suspicion of Class A drugs offences, Lancashire Police said.

"We understand the devastating impact drugs have on people, especially those with lifestyle and addiction problems," a spokesman said. "That is why it is so important for us to target those profiting from these vulnerabilities."
