Firefighters from across the Isle of Wight have tackled a fire that started in garden sheds and spread to the roof of a home.

Crews from five stations were sent to the blaze on Desmond Price Close in Lake on Thursday shortly before 19:00 BST.

The fire service said the fire also damaged a camper van and a car parked by the house. No injuries were reported.

People living nearby were urged to keep their windows and doors closed throughout the evening due to smoke.
