Shirley Mcinroy, of Kilmarnock, captured this sun halo on the summit of Sgòr Gaoith.

Colin Bourhill, of Alexandria, captioned his picture of HMS Queen Elizabeth: "A grey day and a large grey ship moored in Loch Long, taking on fuel and military supplies from Glen Douglas. Low tide allowed a close encounter."

"A very calm Loch Ness from Dores beach," said Guy Fraser.

Mike Bates said of this picture: "The sun setting over Loch Quoich and the mountains of Knoydart. It was taken on my descent from Gleouriach after a fantastic day on the hills."

"While working on the Isle of Lewis I managed to get to Callanish Stones for sunset," said Alex Cross, of Glasgow.

Pat Christie, of North Berwick, said: "Captured this picture of the Bass Rock while looking through a window at a café overlooking Canty Bay."

Krzysztof Knaur, of Kiltarlity, captioned this picture: Road on Skye.

"View of Loch Lomond from Duncryne hill, Gartocharn, locally known as The Dumpling," says Holly Hunter of Old Kilpatrick.

Hugh Maxwell, of Darvel, took this picture. Hugh said: "I travelled to Greenan Castle near Doonfoot in Ayr, South Ayrshire, and managed to capture some wonderful reflections in the tidal pools. It was freezing cold but the light was really nice so I also stayed to watch the sunset."

"Five Sisters of Kintail across Loch Duich from Letterfearn with interesting cloud formation," said Gordon Collins of his picture.

"Just a flying cocker spaniel - Orla - photo bombing the sunrise on top of Criffel, Dumfries and Galloway," said Ian Dawes.

Daniel Dziennik, who took this shot, of stones and mallards reflected in a loch at Boat of Garten.

Theresa Wills' photo was taken at Portmahomack harbour. She said: "High tide and onshore winds means wet pavements and waves to sidestep."

Ewan MacNeilage says: "This is a view over Edinburgh from Salisbury crags at sunset, with the top of the cliffs lined with people enjoying the colours."

Lucy Mulvagh, of Glasgow, said of her picture: "Liathach reflection in Loch Clair giving off Inception movie-like vibes in Wester Ross."

"Crocodile at the Murdieston Dam, Greenock?" asked Helen Baird, who "logged on" to send in this picture.

A photo Bill Cameron took while on a run on Meall an t-suidhe. Bill said: "Looking across to a herd of deer and crepuscular rays by Loch Linnhe below."

"A wild sea at Burghead on a stunning sunny day," said Eric Dixon.
