A wanted man's poetic taunts to police on Facebook backfired when he was later arrested and charged - before officers responded with a jibe of their own.
The suspect posted on a Lancashire Police appeal to find him, boasting that he was "buzzin' like a bee" and "police can't catch me".
But officers in Blackpool responded with their own ditty, warning him "you won't stay free" as "soon be entering your plea".
The force later said a man was charged with theft from motor vehicles.
'Mic drop'
The suspect wrote:
"Chill like a villain,
“Buzzin like a bee,
“Riding like a soldier,
“Police can’t catch me.”
Lancashire Police's response, followed by mic drop emoji said:
“Commit bare crime,
“You won’t stay free,
“Mans just a civvy,
“Soon be entering your plea.”
The force then suggested he should have written he was "buzzin' like a bee in HMP".
Police had launched an appeal on Friday asking people to help locate a man who responsible for various vehicle thefts in the Lytham St Anne's area, who was then "very active on our Facebook pages".
On Sunday they then said a suspect was arrested in Blackburn and later charged.
