A man has been charged with murdering a 51-year-old who was run over by his own car in south-east London in 2019.

Marc Allen died in hospital on 29 January 2020, a month after he was injured on Peareswood Road, Erith, in the early hours of 29 December 2019.

Errol Woodger, 37, who is also accused of robbery, appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court earlier.

District Judge Sarah Turnock remanded Mr Woodger into custody and adjourned the case to the Old Bailey for Monday.

Mr Woodger, of Mottisfont Road in Greenwich, has also been charged with three separate offences relating to the driving of an e-scooter while disqualified and without insurance, in Plumstead, south-east London, on 18 June.

A separate hearing will take place at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday over these allegations.
