Cannabis with an estimated street value of £285,000 has been recovered after a search of three flats in Aberdeen city centre.

Two men, aged 35 and 28, have been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery of the cannabis plants in Market Street on Tuesday.

Police said they were both scheduled to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Sgt Mark Rennie said: "Seizures such as this show our commitment nationally to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy."
