Woman dies in County Donegal crash

A woman in her 50s has died after a crash between a car and a lorry in County Donegal.

Gardaí (Irish police) said it happened at about 08:00 local time in Moville.

It happened on the R238 road, near Moville Community College.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry - a man who is also in his 50s - was taken to hospital for assessment, police said.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses who may have seen the incident, or who have dash-cam footage, to come forward.
