Woman found lying on the pavement dies

Police were called to the area near Morrisons Daily in the early hours of Saturday

Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found on the pavement outside a sub-post office and convenience store in the early morning.

Norfolk Police were sent to the Morrisons Daily store at the junction of North Denes Road and Salisbury Road, Great Yarmouth, at 04:34 GMT on Saturday.

A member of the public called the force after they found the 52-year-old woman lying on the pavement.

Paramedics administered first aid including CPR, and she was taken to the James Paget Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 06:19.

Police said the death was being treated as unexplained and believed there were no suspicious circumstances.
