Drugs sniffed out as police target bus hub crime
A canine companion helps police crack down on crime at Huddersfield bus station

Police in Huddersfield say anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated at the town's bus station, as officers cracked down on drug crime at the transport hub.
Officers brought in a drugs dog and stop-searched 17 people during the campaign late last week, making seven drug seizures and four alcohol seizures.
One man was also arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
Sgt Graham Watson, of West Yorkshire Police, said officers had "bolstered" their presence at the bus station in response to "distress" caused to commuters.
He said: "Officers in plain clothes and high vis are now regularly seizing drugs and alcohol and making arrests for offences including drugs and weapon possession and drunk and disorderly behaviour.
"We intended to continue these operations over the course of 2024.”
