Man seriously hurt after being hit by bus in Edinburgh

A 74-year-old pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Edinburgh.
The accident happened on Oxgangs Road North, near the Oxgangs avenue junction around 20:50 on Friday.
The man was taken to the Royal infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The road was closed until 03:25 on Saturday to allow police to conduct investigations at the scene.
No passengers on the bus were injured.
Police Scotland said inquiries are ongoing and appeal to anyone with information to contact them, external.
Sgt Grant Hastie from Edinburgh's road policing unit said: “We would be keen to speak to anyone who was on the bus who hasn’t yet spoken to an officer, or anyone who may have dashcam footage around the time of the collision."
