Wingmoor Farm Household Recycling Centre, near Bishops Cleeve in Gloucestershire, will reopen on 29 March.

It has been closed since 22 January so essential repairs could be carried out.

A new reuse shop has been opened to allow customers to buy items that would otherwise have been disposed of, with money from the sales going towards the centre's running costs.

There will be additional closures on 18 and 19 April for resurfacing work.

Gloucestershire County Councils said the old tarmac and concrete surfaces have been replaced after eroding away.

New drainage systems have also been installed to prevent flooding, and a new energy-efficient lighting system put in place.

A customer access road has been opened around the edge of the centre to improve safety by separating customers from waste service vehicles.
