Unexplained death probe after body found in woods

A man's body has been found in a wood near Portree in Skye.

Police said the discovery was made on Tuesday afternoon and the death was being treated as "unexplained".

Formal identification has still to take place, but police said the family of a local man reported missing a year ago had been informed.

Harry MacDonald, 59, was last seen near Portree on 19 September 2022.
