Question Time, the BBC's flagship political debate programme, will be hosted by Coventry University next week.

The episode will be filmed at Square One, a venue located in Coventry University’s Hub building.

Chaired by Fiona Bruce, the show features an hour of topical debate with a panel of guests answering questions from members of the public.

It will be broadcast on 23 May, and the panel line-up is yet to be released.

About 140 people will make up the studio audience, and members of the public can apply online if they are interested in attending.

It is the second time that the venue has hosted Question Time.

In 2017, the panellists included journalist Laura Perrins, actor and writer Rob Delaney, as well as politicians Tobias Ellwood, Emily Thornberry, and Norman Lamb.

"To welcome back BBC Question Time, is something we’re really excited about," said Coventry University Provost Ian Dunn.

"Square One is a fantastic venue which has hosted many important events, such as a live broadcast address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to students in 2022, and we look forward to seeing Fiona Bruce and the panellists later this month." he added.
